REVIEWSBecause this section is so extensive I am dividing it into 3 parts consisting of the following items: 1. Reviews of Money Making Programs I strongly recommend you read each section. A good money making program is worthless without the proper advertising tools. Conversely, the greatest advertising in the world is not going to sell a program that is obviously poorly put together. Some of the money making programs I am going to review as a group because quite honestly, they are either all good or all bad. If that doesn't sound possible, when I explain you will understand. Some program types are just Bad by nature and are best to be avoided. Money Making Programs 1. Paid To Read Emails Let me get these out of the way fast because these
are absolutely the WORST thing to EVER hit the Internet and for
some reason they just don't want to go away and die.
The sites that claim they pay these insane amounts of money per email read (I've seen amounts as high as $500 per email) simply DON'T PAY. You can request payment all you like. Hair will grow on door knobs before you EVER see a DIME. Eventually when the company gets enough complaints filed against them with the BBBOnline they close up their doors and you're out whatever money you paid to join and all the money you thought you were getting. The sites that DO pay are just not worth joining. Why? Because the amounts they pay per email read are so minuscule that it will take you forever before you see an amount of money that even resembles an income. The typical legit site pays about 1 cent per email read. They send you about 20 per day. So over the course of a month you will make about $6. My friend, I don't call that making money on the Internet. Some do pay up to 3 cents per but even $18 a month isn't going to pay to fill up your car for a week, especially not with today's gas prices. In a word. STAY AWAY FROM THESE!! 2. Paid Survey Sites These are actually similar to paid to read emails
except you are paid to take online surveys. Basically it works like this:
Most survey clubs for starters charge you an insane fee to join, as much as $69 for one. Sure, you get access to hundreds of survey companies through the club but when you start getting surveys sent to your email box you find out that you don't qualify for 90% of them. So before you even actually get to take a survey it can be days or even weeks. One company I received surveys from I have YET to qualify for ONE. And then finally when you DO qualify for a survey, the amount they pay you for each is a joke. Some companies actually just give you what they call credits and then you cash your credits in for payment. The average company requires 1000 credits to get $10. At 10 credits per survey it takes 100 completed surveys to make your $10. Even if you qualified for one survey a day it would take you over 3 months to get your $10 check. That's what it took me with this one company. I have since given up on taking online surveys. They are just not worth the effort for the amount of money you make. 3. Randomizers Let me just start out by saying that these are ILLEGAL. I was
a member of one and almost lost my PayPal account because of it. These are PURE pyramid
schemes where no real product is sold and no real service is provided. I am seeing
fewer of these so hopefully they will someday be gone. Just so you know what to look
out for, here is how these work.
4. Doublers, Triplers, etc. Most of these are also illegal though there are actually a few
reputable companies that offer products and services for your payment. The
problem though is with the actual model of how this works. It simply can't
sustain itself over the long term as I have personally seen. The one legit
company that has actually been in business for over 2 years has finally had
to abandon the doubler principal because they could no longer sustain it and
members were no longer getting paid. Let me explain how these work.
5. Paid Typing Companies On the surface it would seem that it can't get easier than this. Type ads
on the Internet and get paid for every ad you type and/or get response from. This is
generally how these work.
Let's take the companies where you are paid for every ad typed, even if there is NO response. This seems like the easiest way to make money. There are several problems. For starters, the restrictions on how the ads have to be typed and WHERE you can post them are crazy. About 90% of places to post ads on the Internet are restricted. Then the ad has to be formatted a certain way. If they don't approve of the ad, which you don't find out until after you've actually typed it and posted it, then you DON'T get paid for it. All that work for nothing. Then there is the matter of how much you get paid for the ad. That depends on the number of responses. Yes, I know I said you get paid regardless of the responses. But if you get NO responses your payment for the ad is about 3 cents. In order to get paid 10 cents for the ad you have to get about 100 responses. To get paid 25 cents you have to get about 1000 responses. This varies from company to company but that is about the pay scale. Plus you have to post the ad to a certain number of sites. By the time you have worked your 14 hour day and have posted about 40 or 50 ads you usually end up making about $1.50 for the day. If you do that for a month you make about $45 for the month. You've worked a total of 420 hours for that $45. Comes out to about 10 cents per hour. And this is the BETTER of the 2 options. Then there is the company where you get paid for every response. Well, this all comes down to how good your advertising methods are. Again, many forms of advertising are restricted. Oddly the ones that are restricted are the ones that work. Well of course. These companies don't want to have to pay you. But wait, don't they WANT to advertise their products and make money from sales? NO. They already made their money. Remember? Your enrollment fee? Ah, forgot about that didn't you. This was the type of paid company I got involved with. Yes, I made $28 in 5 months. It cost me $69 to get this "job". My net loss - $41. Please, please, please STAY AWAY FROM THESE SCAMS. 6. Companies That Sell Advertising and/or Traffic Generation These are the now ever popular "Sell the shovels and let others dig for the gold" companies.
In theory these are really great. Everyone needs good advertising that works to promote
their product or service. The problem is that most of these companies sell advertising methods
that DON'T work and they should be ashamed to even promote these methods. One company, who will
remain nameless uses methods that I used to promote my paid typing company when I made my $28.
So obviously those methods don't work. The only method they use that does work is where they give
you a list of phone numbers and you make phone calls. How many telemarketers have YOU hung up on? Here is
how these usually work.
Having said all that. There IS one advertising program that I DO believe in. Their methods DO work and it doesn't cost a fortune to get started. The sign up is basically $19.95 to get the book and training to teach you the system and then just $10 a month to promote the program. Your only other costs are the advertising methods themselves that you decide to use, all of which have been proven. I can personally say from my own experience that these advertising sources DO work. In just 4 months I was making over $1000 a month online promoting my various products and services. My monthly expenses were under $200. You figure my net profit. Certainly not bad at all. If you're interested in at least reading up on this system here is the site where you can get an idea of what is in the book and how to purchase it if you like. It has been around for over 5 years and is a member of the BBBOnline. Are they reputable? In a word, YES. Click HERE 7. MLM (Multi Level Marketing) MLM companies have gotten a bad rap because of the ones out there that are just plain awful and
nothing but pyramid schemes. There is no real product or service involved. Here is
basically how these work.
Let me now give you an example of a typical MLM pay plan: Level 1 - You can sign up 3 people directly UNDER you MAX. You get $3 a month for each of these people. Level 2 - Each person under you can sign up 3 people under them. You get paid $1.50 a month for each one of these. Level 3 - Each person under each of your 3 people can sign up 3 people under them. You get $0.75 a month for each of these. This can go as far as 10 levels or more. When you add up all the money you can make it comes out to some insane amount of like $2 million a month. But here is the problem. For starters you can only sign up so many people yourself. After you get 3 you are on your own. From that point you are depending on OTHERS to make your money for you. The problem with that is simply, even if you KNOW how to advertise to get members, most people do NOT. They have no clue and shortly drop out of the program. What happens is you are constantly recycling members. As good a marketer as I am I never made more than $200 a month with any one of these matrixes because people just don't stay with the program. And I teach them how to advertise and they STILL can't make it work. Why? Because most people are lazy and don't want to work. They see what it takes to make money with MLM and they don't want to put the effort in. Out of the hundreds of people I have brought into various MLM programs only a handful stay any length of time. Sure, because I know how to promote I can get lots of people in but all I'm doing is recycling and I'll never make that magic million dollar mark that I should be making based on the matrix levels. Having said that, if you go through all my training and do everything I tell you to do you CAN make an okay living online with MLM programs. But don't try it until you REALLY know how to promote them. When I am finished with you, don't worry, you'll be ready. As for that company I was telling you about that gives the free web hosting and a ton of other features that are really worth the $19.98 a month, here is the URL. Click HERE 8. Freelance Writing For The Internet Yes, this actually is a real job opportunity and can pay fairly well, though you will
never get rich off of doing this. The problem is, this IS a real job. You have to put together a resume
showing the area you are knowledgeable in. You have to send in samples of your work and then after all that
you have to bid on the assignment. The lowest bid takes it. That's right. If somebody is willing to do the
writing assignment for less than you then you lose the bid. Here is where you have to weigh what your time
is worth against what you will get paid for the assignment. Some articles will be a page that you can write in
a couple of hours. So if you get the bid for $25 for the article, that's not too bad. But if it's an article that's
going to take you a week to write and you still only get $25 then it just isn't worth it. Internet Freelance Writing
is not an easy gig to land. You have to be very talented and a great writer. I won't even attempt it and I've been
writing articles for over 20 years. Plus, my time is worth more to me than $10 an hour which is about the most you
can realistically expect to get. But if you're interested here are the steps you need to take in order to have a
shot at doing this.
9. Internet Researcher This is another real job and even harder to get than freelance writer. In case you're wondering what an Internet Researcher does, go to any site that provides information. Read the bits of data that you find there. If it's a large site with lots of information that info was gathered by Internet Researchers. To land this gig you practically have to have a P.H.D. in whatever subjects you're asked to research, plus you have to have excellent search engine skills. Meaning you have to know EXACTLY what to type in for your search engine inquiries in order to find what you're looking for as quickly as possible. Companies are not going to wait around for you to get this info to them. And with all that, the pay isn't that great. For a project that might take you a whole day at best you may make $25. Now if you could get a project a day that's a good $750 a month for a 40 hour work week, or about $4.50 an hour. The problem is, these jobs are very rare and very hard to find. At least it's honest work and if you have the time you can make $8,000 a year doing this full time, again if you can find enough projects. The steps for getting a researcher job are about the same as for getting a freelance writer job. Here they are in detail:
10. Mystery Shopper Honestly, I don't know why this is considered an Internet job
as the Internet is the last place you spend doing this.
Having said ALL that, if you're still interested in doing this (for some people it's a lot of fun) and DON'T want to go through the hassle of finding these mystery shopping jobs, there is a book you can get that will give you absolutely the BEST ones on the Internet. Not only that, all the companies in the book have NO application fees. The book does give great sources. I've done some of them. Like I said, I'm just sick of the travel and the gas expense. But if that doesn't bother you then this may be something you might want to pursue. Here is the URL if you're interested. Mystery Shopping Book 11. Paid To Surf Companies For someone who does nothing BUT surf the Internet all day for free anyway, this is a lot of fun and you'll make about $23 dollars a month for 8 hours surfing a day. I said it was fun, I didn't say it would make you rich. If you're wondering how these companies can pay you just to surf the Internet it's really very simple. The companies that sign up THEIR advertising with the paid to surf companies pay a fee to have their sites displayed. Their hope is that when you see their site you will purchase their product or service. And let me tell you, many of these products and services are very good and you end up spending more money than you make. That is one of the dangers of being a paid surfer. It's kind of like going to Vegas or Atlantic City with a $10.00 roll of quarters that they give you on these tours. You end up gambling away that $10.00 roll of quarters before you're even there an hour. If you have lots of will power as I said, you can make about $23 a month surfing 8 hours a day. A little more if you surf more. If you're interested, these are the steps you need to take:
12. Retail Sales There are countless number of REAL products to sell on the Internet.
Everything from cosmetics, to health aids, to fruit juice. These are ALL legitimate
products and you can be proud to sell any of them. The problem is, NONE of these
companies teach you HOW to effectively market their product. Oh, they'll give you a
ton of methods to use but 95% of them don't work. The few that do work you get very
little results from and certainly not enough to cover the cost of your inventory.
Unless you either have a large in house mailing list or know a lot of people you aren't
going to make a lot of money doing this. I tried when I first started out and didn't know
anyone, which is where the typical new marketer is going to be. I didn't know how to
promote the product, which I still use personally, and the bottom line was that on my
$5,000 worth of inventory, I made all of $128. This was one of the costliest lessons
of my life at the time. Don't get me wrong. The products (natural home cleaners) were
excellent. They were environmentally safe and not too expensive. I should have sold a ton
of this stuff. But I didn't because I didn't know how to. So unless you know HOW to advertise
on the Internet in a way where your ads ARE seen you are going to be in for a very long
and hard road selling items online. Eventually I used up all my inventory myself and now
only buy what I need to get me through each month. Yes, I get a discount as a distributor but
I am NOT making money with this stuff. Ironically, today I probably could but handling real
products for sale is a hassle. Especially if you have to ship them yourself. If you can
find a company that will do all the handling and shipping for you then you're in luck. Still,
you better know how to advertise or you're not going to make money doing this. But of all the
things I've listed thus far this area has the most potential for success with just a little
advertising knowledge. Just make sure you hook up with a product that you believe in. Naturally
you will have to try it first, and NO most companies do NOT give free samples so there is
going to be an initial expense before you even decide on whether or not you ARE going to
sell this product. Another reason why I keep away from this area. What do I do if I buy a
product and it stinks? My integrity will NOT allow me to sell it so I'm out the money I spent
on the sample. 13. FREE TO JOIN!!! I'm sure you've seen these ads all over the place. FREE TO JOIN - Make $3,000 your first DAY! The sites themselves can range from selling ebooks to simply getting some poor fool to sign up under you. Well, think about this. If the main selling point of the site is that it is free to join and it's a site that has no real product but simply tells you that you can make so much money if you get x number of people to sign up, how are you going to do this? If they sign up for free, which is what you did, HOW do you get paid? The problem is you ONLY get paid if they upgrade to paid status. And in most cases YOU have to upgrade to paid status as well. In that case it isn't really free is it? Please do yourself a favor, stay away from any site where the advertisement says it's FREE to join. You may not want to hear this but you can't make money on the Internet unless you spend money. Free will get you nothing. If you do decide to join one of these sites please write to the owner first and ask up front if there are any hidden costs and if not how you ACTUALLY get paid. In most cases you will get a reply stating that you get paid for everyone who signs up and becomes a paid member. I had one program I was in like this. I had over 300 free members. I had ZERO paid members. Why? Because people who sign up for something because it is FREE will NEVER upgrade to paid. These are people who are looking for something for nothing and they will never change. This is why I stay away from these programs. 14. Get A Site JUST Like This One!!! Here is another one of my favorite jokes on the Internet. The main selling point of these sites is you get a page just like the one you're seeing and for every person you get to get this page from you, you get paid half of the sign up fee. There is no real product of any use associated with these sites. They'll usually give you a whole bunch of stuff that in no way is going to make you any kind of money or help with your marketing in any way, such as blasters and auto responders. But basically this is a "get some poor sucker to" spend his $10 or so in the hopes he can get people to buy the site from him. And the worst part of these sites is you get NOTHING from any sales he makes. Now if you know how to advertise you probably could get a ton of sign ups to these things as they all look so wonderful when you read the sales pages. But if you have any ethics at all you won't go near these things. They are not even good pyramid schemes because you don't get paid on other people's efforts. Please watch out for these and stay far away from them. 15. H.Y.I.P. (High Yield Investment Program) I am not going to waste a lot of time on these because not only are they illegal but the F.B.I. is after the people who perpetuate these schemes. Basically a HYIP is a program where you invest funds in an off shore account through your bank and when the account reaches a certain balance you are paid. The scam is as follows. After you've put a certain amount of money into this account (with your bank) the person who suckered you into this forges a letter of credit and has the funds transferred to HIS off shore account. Your money is gone, NEVER to be seen again. Please don't even think about getting involved in a HYIP. OKAY NOW, JUST HOLD ON!!! At this point you're probably thinking to yourself, "Steve, you're not making a lot of this sound very good. As a matter of fact, most of this sounds plain LOUSY." Well, the truth is, most of what I just reviewed IS lousy, with the few exceptions. But there is one area of making money on the Internet that I haven't touched on yet... 16. Selling Your Own Product Or Service SIX words. And the hardest thing you will ever do in your life. Sit down
and think about it. You first have to come up with the idea for a product or service. Then you
have to figure out HOW to promote it. I'll get to promotion in the next section but for now
let's just concentrate on the product or service. I briefly went over the steps of how to start
your own business in the previous section. But let's go into a little more detail here. |
